Wagering requirements: the base, contribution and remaining volume

Two worked examples for Wagering Requirement Calculator: inputs, calculations, rounding and the limits of the model.

Wagering requirements: the base, contribution and remaining volume

Why this matters

A wagering multiplier is incomplete without its base. Thirty times a bonus differs from thirty times a deposit plus bonus. Game contribution adds another layer: the amount wagered and the amount credited towards the requirement can be very different.

Before entering the numbers

A wagering multiplier is incomplete without its base. Thirty times a bonus differs from thirty times a deposit plus bonus. Game contribution adds another layer: the amount wagered and the amount credited towards the requirement can be very different.

Open the calculator: Wagering Requirement Calculator. All figures below are hypothetical. CU denotes a consistent currency unit, not a named currency. Field and result names match the English calculator interface.

Example 1: the starting assumptions

Enter a 100 CU deposit, 100 CU bonus, bonus-only base and 30× requirement. At 50% contribution, every 10 CU illustrative bet contributes 5 CU towards the requirement.

Entered fields: Deposit: 100 (CU) · Bonus: 100 (CU) · Wagering basis: Bonus only · Wagering multiplier: 30 (×) · Game contribution: 50 (%) · Qualifying turnover already credited: 0 (CU) · Illustrative bet amount: 10 (CU)

Calculated results: Required qualifying turnover: 3,000.00 CU · Remaining qualifying turnover: 3,000.00 CU · Remaining actual wagering volume: 6,000.00 CU · Illustrative number of bets: 600 bets

  • 100 × 30 = 3,000 CU qualifying turnover
  • 3,000 / 0.50 = 6,000 CU actual volume
  • 6,000 / 10 = 600 illustrative bets

Example 2: change the inputs

Change the base to deposit plus bonus, contribution to 25%, and completed qualifying turnover to 1,000 CU. “Completed” means credited qualifying turnover, not the total cash amount already wagered.

Entered fields: Deposit: 100 (CU) · Bonus: 100 (CU) · Wagering basis: Deposit + bonus · Wagering multiplier: 30 (×) · Game contribution: 25 (%) · Qualifying turnover already credited: 1000 (CU) · Illustrative bet amount: 10 (CU)

Calculated results: Required qualifying turnover: 6,000.00 CU · Remaining qualifying turnover: 5,000.00 CU · Remaining actual wagering volume: 20,000.00 CU · Illustrative number of bets: 2,000 bets

  • (100 + 100) × 30 = 6,000; 6,000 − 1,000 = 5,000 CU
  • 5,000 / 0.25 = 20,000 CU; 20,000 / 10 = 2,000 bets

What the result leaves out

The remaining volume is not a required deposit, an expected loss or a withdrawal entitlement. Expiry, maximum bets, excluded games, caps, bonus cancellations and operator-specific terms are not evaluated.

Arithmetic uses unrounded intermediate values; displayed numbers are rounded. These examples document the model, not a provider quote or an observed transaction.

Practical checklist

  • Record the source, units and time of each input.
  • Keep fees and principal in their stated units.
  • Reproduce both examples before comparing other inputs.
  • Read the stated limitations and current provider terms.
