Slippage Calculator

A sphere moving between stepped levels

For readers reconciling a trade quote with its execution. Output amounts must use the same asset and decimal units.

Examples are hypothetical. CU = currency units. Use one consistent currency wherever CU appears. No live prices or provider data are fetched.

How to read the result

The result compares the two amounts you enter; the tolerance is an illustrative threshold. It does not predict execution, enforce transaction protection or separate market movement from price impact, MEV and quote changes.

Formula

  1. Signed slippage = (quoted output − executed output)/quoted output × 100%. Positive means fewer output units than quoted; negative means improvement.
  2. Tolerance threshold = quoted output × (1−tolerance/100). Compare executed output before the separately entered fee with this threshold.
  3. Net output after separately entered fees = executed output − fees. All-in shortfall = quoted output − net output. Do not enter fees already deducted in the executed amount twice.

Worked example

Quote 100 units, execution 98: slippage = 2.00%. At 1% tolerance, threshold = 99 units; 98 is below it. A separate 0.50-unit fee leaves 97.50 units and a 2.50-unit all-in shortfall.
