Arbitrage / Surebet Calculator

Balanced scale with two geometric tokens

For readers checking the arithmetic of a complete market. It compares theoretical payouts under identical settlement rules.

Examples are hypothetical. CU = currency units. Use one consistent currency wherever CU appears. No live prices or provider data are fetched.

How to read the result

A reciprocal sum below 100% indicates a theoretical pricing gap under the entered assumptions. The calculation does not show whether every bet can be accepted, or account for changing odds, limits, fees, voids or differing settlement rules.

Formula

  1. For each outcome i, calculate qᵢ = 1 / decimal oddsᵢ; S = Σqᵢ.
  2. Unrounded stakeᵢ = total stake × qᵢ / S. Allocate whole cents by largest remainder so stakes sum to the entered total.
  3. For each outcome: net resultᵢ = rounded stakeᵢ × oddsᵢ − total stake. Report the minimum result, rather than an unconditional profit.

Worked example

With 100 CU and odds 2.10, 2.10: S = 0.952381; stakes = 50.00 CU each; return = 105.00 CU; minimum modelled net result = 5.00 CU (5.00%).
