Network Fee & Confirmation Time Estimator
For readers checking network-fee units and stated confirmation requirements. Fee and timing inputs are manually entered, without a live node connection.
Examples are hypothetical. CU = currency units. Use one consistent currency wherever CU appears. No live prices or provider data are fetched.
How to read the result
The fee uses the transaction size or gas usage and price you enter; confirmation time is only an arithmetic scenario. It does not estimate current congestion, inclusion priority, finality, reorg risk, exchange crediting or an L2 total fee.
Formula
- Ethereum fee = gas used estimate × effective gas price in gwei / 1,000,000,000 ETH. Bitcoin fee = virtual bytes × sat/vB / 100,000,000 BTC.
- Fee in CU = native fee × entered native-asset price. Ethereum input is an assumed effective price, not max fee; L2 data fees are excluded.
- Time scenario = assumed first inclusion wait + (required confirmations − 1) × assumed block interval. First inclusion counts as confirmation 1.
Worked example
Ethereum: 21,000 × 20 / 1e9 = 0.00042 ETH; at 2,000 CU/ETH = 0.84 CU. First inclusion 12 seconds plus 11 × 12 seconds = 144 seconds for 12 confirmations.
